ENG - 1° Round Italian Showdown Drift Championship

As soon as the holidays are over and immediately we talk about RC Drift. This just ended is the first stage of the ISDC, the "strange" Italian championship that makes entertainment its priority. The races are held in pairs. It's a 2 vs 2. Each pair faces the competition being always on the track together without opponents. The general rules of drift competitions are applied, with some variations on the clipping areas. The aim is to be as fluid and synchronized as possible, with the aim of beating the pair that we will have as a challenger.

For detailed rules and other information, I refer you to the link fb of the championship:

Race summary The track was hosted on the occasion of the Modena electronics expo, and the guys from Modena Drift Park designed an incredible track! Impressive technique, speed and flow!

The floor was smooth concrete with some roughness, which made the movements of our RC very realistic (and put the setup in crisis). At the beginning we had too much traction and we were in difficulty, luckily, in a short time, the track improved and allowed us to have relatively realistic speeds and we moved on to the fun and tests before the race. We immediately showed a good friendship with the track, it allowed us to try not quite conventional lines and trying to focus on the realism of the initial "launch".

We gain more and more confidence with the track and touch up the electronic settings to improve fluidity ... By way of changes we will discover that we have returned to our "classic" settings :) It's time for qualifying Qualifying takes place in three tests per pair, where the leader and chaser reverse, for a total of six runs. The sum of all the runs will be used to draw up the final ranking. In addition, 2 pts are provided for the same graphics, as in our case. We start with the first run and, while I am (Davide) chaser, I make a mistake that causes this test to be blown away ... We will make up for the second! In the second I go back to making a mistake as a beginner and not fully express our potential. "Don't worry, it can happen ... nothing happened" -Manuel- We get on track for the third run and, finally, we turn to the maximum of our possibilities, zero errors, "different" lines and first launch was beautiful! We finish third, with regret for the mistakes made.

This result allows us to go directly to the top 16. The first challenge we win, for a little, against Piter and Aleeyka, must not have been easy for the judges... The second sees us challengers of the first in qualifying, as well as friends and members of the Modena drift park. We do our best, we make a small smudge, but they are clearly better and deservedly win. ...They will also win the stage. Now we have to compete in the final for 3rd and 4th place. Here too I make a mistake, lightly touching my partner and throwing up the possibility of competing for 3rd place. Too bad because we had the chance :( The first stage of the ISDC ends with a 4th place.

AllYouCanDrift would like to thank Tony Ho -Kosmik digital servo- for the material provided, without which we would not have achieved this result! We also congratulate those who worked behind the scenes of this race, so that there was a very good buffet, seats, and the usual fun and friendship that distinguishes this family! ...In the next race I will be less wrong.
